The real story is a s depressing as the legend. Apparently my grandfather and his next younger/only full sister were sent to an orphanage for a while after their father left. From what Mom said, they were only allowed to see each other once a week, and they were somewhere around 5 or 6 at the time, I think. Their mother took them out when she remarried, though I'm not sure that was much better, seeing as how the new husband was abusive. Great-grandma herself was not a nice person, either. (I've never heard Grandpa or Great-Aunt mention it, but that doesn't necessarily mean much.)

There is mention of a cemetery in your video around the 5 minute mark. I have not found a listing for one near the property. It would make sense that they would have had a small family cemetery. Does anyone have more info about that?

Great video. My grandmother was Margaret Richards, the girl at 9:01 who was the sole survivor of her family who hid under the piano (small detail- she was 13 at the time, not 8). We’ve had to piece together the story because she would never speak of it.

Look at the driver rod on the locomotive that is broken. That would have destroyed the bridge Leaving the lead engine time to get across. How else do you explain a broken drive rod on a locomotive that was flipped Over. It wasn't a faulty bridge until that driver rod destroyed it. And was there a safe on the baggage car full of gold.

School safety today stands on the rent and burnt bodies of yesteryear…shrouded beneath dark clouds of tears, serenaded by the wails of the survivors… In this time we have our own school safety issues; also deep in dead youth and teachers. Always and forever is the need to Learn, Teach and Protect . . . through the crying and amidst the screaming of mourners . . . My sincere condolences ~

I have a friend who's mother and father were from Germany. His dad worked for a car company in Germany before the war. He was in the war and got captured and brought here. After the war he went back to the same car company with his previous sonority. After a while he transferred to the US for that car company and became a citizen here. I think it was an American car company he worked at before the war that was operating in Germany. He said the exact thing about being a POW here as a German. When he was able to he said he jumped at the chance to move here!!! My wife is German. I met her when I was in the Army over there in the 80's. The lady who ran the laundry mat on my base had the numbers tattooed on her arm. Didn't really want to ask about it. Probably would have brought up things she would rather not remember. I told a German guy I would meet him at his house once and he told me I could never go to his house. He said his dad was in WWII and still had hate for Americans. I ran into a lot of WWII stuff while I was there!

Although there are many skeptics, some things are true whether we believe it or not. Some people have antennas sensitive enough to see the dimension where the souls are, some see more than that but keep it to themselves. In My opinion those who really do see will keep their cards close to the vest, after all what do you think would happen to them if they did say something? To those restless souls who are trying to capture someone's attention to their plight, may the gentlest heart of Jesus send his angels to conduct these departed souls to a place of refreshment light and peace. Amen

The uncle is either most unlucky unwitting accomplice in history or he did it. He just shows up and the wife/stepmother is found dead in the room where he’s staying and the father winds up hacked to death as well. By the way he’s a butcher by trade. It is unlikely that Lizzie did it, at least on her own. Patricide is overwhelmingly a male crime. I would imagine even more so with a hatchet. There are not too many young Sunday school teachers who are wielding hatchets to kill their parents. Lizzie is also the only one who stayed in the area. Everyone else took off, never to return. the maid, the uncle. I think the fact that she stayed says a lot.
