People who die protecting children stand with the Saints in Heaven
Amen
The real story is a s depressing as the legend. Apparently my grandfather and his next younger/only full sister were sent to an orphanage for a while after their father left. From what Mom said, they were only allowed to see each other once a week, and they were somewhere around 5 or 6 at the time, I think. Their mother took them out when she remarried, though I'm not sure that was much better, seeing as how the new husband was abusive. Great-grandma herself was not a nice person, either. (I've never heard Grandpa or Great-Aunt mention it, but that doesn't necessarily mean much.)
Thank you for another, well told, fascinating story!
😊😊😊
Best front man in rock history 🤟
Many of my ancestors have lived and been executed in the tower. I have never felt so traumatized in my entire life whilst visiting this place.
I’m so sorry to hear that. Must be awful!
He died a little more than three months before I was born
There is mention of a cemetery in your video around the 5 minute mark. I have not found a listing for one near the property. It would make sense that they would have had a small family cemetery. Does anyone have more info about that?
Great video. My grandmother was Margaret Richards, the girl at 9:01 who was the sole survivor of her family who hid under the piano (small detail- she was 13 at the time, not 8). We’ve had to piece together the story because she would never speak of it.
That's not the Finger of God. It's the finger of satan.
Yeah, look, they replaced the bridge with a Stone bridge in the last for a 1000 years. They're still using today. Somebody learned a valuable lesson about bridges.
Look at the driver rod on the locomotive that is broken. That would have destroyed the bridge Leaving the lead engine time to get across. How else do you explain a broken drive rod on a locomotive that was flipped Over. It wasn't a faulty bridge until that driver rod destroyed it. And was there a safe on the baggage car full of gold.
"Reduced to only singular body parts..." What chilling words. Interesting story, well told as usual! Many thanks🙂
Thank you Kiwi! 😊
You can see his name every time you go between downtown & points west along the Shoreway; the water works there is appropriately named for him.
Thank you ❤for telling this story. I doubt I would have ever heard it otherwise. Your human for I teared up with you ❤I can't imagine how these children felt knowing they would burn to death and the poor families watching them die❤Again Ty for sharing
Thank you Jennifer!

This was great. Very interesting. Thank you for putting this together. My grandma lived on Oberlin Ave. and told me she was upstairs in her room when it hit and saw chicken coups flying around.
Great video. Thanks
Thanks you Ace!
Hello, I have just found you and am loving your videos, you make them so very interesting. Thank you so much
Thank you for watching! I really appreciate it!
Wow first the amherst train wreck and now the defining moment in history of my home town this is awesome someone is finally making a documentary about the tornado
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
School safety today stands on the rent and burnt bodies of yesteryear…shrouded beneath dark clouds of tears, serenaded by the wails of the survivors… In this time we have our own school safety issues; also deep in dead youth and teachers. Always and forever is the need to Learn, Teach and Protect . . . through the crying and amidst the screaming of mourners . . . My sincere condolences ~
West virginia is a natural wonder, you are seeing what the native americans saw athousand years ago.
At.Mary’s. I was baptized in that church,in 1970,knowing not,the nightmare that happened so many years ago.
I love your voice you must be great at Halloween Parties!
😊😊😊
What year was the Ceder Point amusement Park built
Around 1870. Although not even close to what we know it as today.
I lived in Akron for 4 years and never heard about this until I moved away from the city. Great place to be. Thank you for the local history! Your channel is absolutely amazing
Thank you! 😊
Thankyou so much my dear friend. I got the book reading it sad it happened in Ohio but enjoy reading it. I have haunted Marietta. May I recommend that book to you? If you didn't already have it. 💋💋💜💜🐶stay safe and huge hugs my dear friend.
Thank you Jane! Yes I do have haunted Marietta! Such a fun read. Three videos from that town coming this year! 😊
They had no warnings back then. No technology, Absolutely. Nothing.
Oh my you got me!!! 😂 I thought you were going to go for the sensationalism of the story all “Ghost Adventures” like. I should have known better. You are spot on as usual!!! Bravo! I found the children’s grave nearby and the statue appears to be crying.
Just found your channel! I think we are kindred spirits. Nothing is better than mixing history with ghostly stories. Nicely done.
Thank you Alex!
I’m far from a history buff, but due to the fact I love this story, I find its inspirations to be really interesting!
Well done! I was a 10 year old when the F-5 hit Xenia, Oh. (I grew up in Columbus) I have been fascinated-and slightly terrified-of them ever since. 🫡👍🏼
I’m fascinated and terrified of them as well Greg! Thank you for watching!
Do you think this tornado doesn’t really get much mention due to the Tri-state tornado of ‘25?
Certainly could be. Also the F5 Xenia tornado tends to catch the most eyes in Ohio, although Ohio has experienced four F5 tornado’s since 1950.
0:19 Do you suppose it was a water spout that transferred to land as a tornado?
Entirely possible!
Those tears say so much about how deeply you invest in these stories❤️🩹 Tears are an expression of shared grief - never be ashamed of them, sir❤️
Bless you Becca. ❤️
You lost me at Paulides 🙄
I used to hike through this town all night long until sunrise with my friends. We went over 50 times at least. We’ve been through every trail. We’ve only had one creepy experience but it was intense.
Geoff! What was the experience?! I’d love to know!
I ❤Peg beautiful spirit ❤
I have a friend who's mother and father were from Germany. His dad worked for a car company in Germany before the war. He was in the war and got captured and brought here. After the war he went back to the same car company with his previous sonority. After a while he transferred to the US for that car company and became a citizen here. I think it was an American car company he worked at before the war that was operating in Germany. He said the exact thing about being a POW here as a German. When he was able to he said he jumped at the chance to move here!!! My wife is German. I met her when I was in the Army over there in the 80's. The lady who ran the laundry mat on my base had the numbers tattooed on her arm. Didn't really want to ask about it. Probably would have brought up things she would rather not remember. I told a German guy I would meet him at his house once and he told me I could never go to his house. He said his dad was in WWII and still had hate for Americans. I ran into a lot of WWII stuff while I was there!
Although there are many skeptics, some things are true whether we believe it or not. Some people have antennas sensitive enough to see the dimension where the souls are, some see more than that but keep it to themselves. In My opinion those who really do see will keep their cards close to the vest, after all what do you think would happen to them if they did say something? To those restless souls who are trying to capture someone's attention to their plight, may the gentlest heart of Jesus send his angels to conduct these departed souls to a place of refreshment light and peace. Amen
Well said!
way to go off-topic (thanks for wasting my time) <ANNOYED>
Thank you for watching and commenting!
The uncle is either most unlucky unwitting accomplice in history or he did it. He just shows up and the wife/stepmother is found dead in the room where he’s staying and the father winds up hacked to death as well. By the way he’s a butcher by trade. It is unlikely that Lizzie did it, at least on her own. Patricide is overwhelmingly a male crime. I would imagine even more so with a hatchet. There are not too many young Sunday school teachers who are wielding hatchets to kill their parents. Lizzie is also the only one who stayed in the area. Everyone else took off, never to return. the maid, the uncle. I think the fact that she stayed says a lot.
I live west of Lorain & Sandusky. I've lived in Ohio my entire life. I had no idea about these tornadoes. Thanks for this notable history video.
Thank you for watching!
Loved the commentary very well told only thing it be EF 4 but all good very well done👌
I agree it’s an EF4. But this tornado occurred before the Enhanced Fujita scale was adopted. I wanted to stay true to the era. Thanks for watching!
Check out the tornado that hit Xenia, Ohio in or around April 1973/4. It was part of an outbreak and almost wiped out the entire city.
Very interesting! Thank you 😊
Greatly enjoyed this, although missed the live. I would love to attend this if they do it next year. The docents were so knowledgeable. The first young gentleman was so enthusiastic, good to see young people embracing history. BTW if you still are doing Helltown, that’s where I grew up. lol
Thanks for watching Ellie! Plenty of footage from our “Helltown” visit earlier this year just waiting to be edited! Hope to have it for you soon!
She was so desperate to have a family that she allowed a child rapist and murdered into her home just so she could feel love? Girl wtf. Self esteem in the pits of hell. And his dad is a POS as well… no one considered Mary’s family!
I lived on some haunted property. I saw ghost. A man passed by my window more then once. I ran outside with my dog in tow and no one was there.
I slept during a E-F3 🌪 in Eminence, kentucky in 2011. It flipped car's & trucks upside down and destroyed homes no less than a half Mile away from Is where I happened to be sleeping in the living room next to a big window. Great video!
